Reflections

In my moments of complete solitude I am able to really take some time to spend in God's Word and in prayer. Sometimes I get so caught up in everything else going on around me and even though I read my bible daily, it becomes routine. When those times with the Lord become monotonous then I know that something is off and not right. Getting those chances to refocus and examine my heart provide me with opportunities to really reflect on where I am, where I want to be as a person and where I want my walk with Christ to be and look like.

I thank God that when He sees me wandering towards other things that shouldn't be top priority, He brings me back to where I need to be. What I find funny is that I'm a daydreamer, I get caught up in what I want for the future. Things I want to do and places I want to go, that I lose sight of what's right in front of me and like a child, the Lord has to bring my focus back to what's on the table. "Finish dinner first, then you can have dessert ok?" My response: "Oh, okay!"

It's pretty simplistic, there's nothing difficult to understand about it either. Why some people find it so complicated is beyond me.

Plain and simple, Jesus just wants us to focus on what He wants us to do before He gives us His blessings. What's also a bonus is sometimes we may not even know it, but He blesses us at the same time that we are going about His will. How amazing!

Gosh, I love you Lord! Thank you for everything you've done in my life, brought me out of, and for all the times you were there in my darkest moments.
